Terms of Service
Last updated: October 19, 2026
Agreement
These terms govern your use of Pitaka, published by Pitaka, Philippines ("we", "us"). By installing or using Pitaka you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What Pitaka is
Pitaka is a tool for tracking money, budgets and debts, with game-style progress. It is not a bank, lender, financial adviser, tax adviser or accountant.
Not financial advice
Payoff dates, budgets, oracle insights, spending impact alerts and other figures are estimates based on what you enter. They may be wrong or out of date. Make your own decisions, and talk to a qualified professional where it matters. We are not responsible for choices you make using the app.
Your data and backups
Your data is stored on your device and, if you enable it, in your own iCloud. We do not hold a copy. You are responsible for keeping backups, for example with iCloud or an export. Deleting all data in Pitaka is permanent and also removes the iCloud copy. We cannot recover it. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Your responsibilities
- Use Pitaka lawfully and keep your device and app PIN secure.
- Enter accurate information. Results depend on it.
- Do not copy, reverse engineer, resell or interfere with the app, except where the law allows.
The Ward
The Ward blocks calls and texts using lists you provide and the filtering tools iOS offers. It does not catch everything and we do not guarantee that it will block any particular contact or message.
Guild (Pro) and purchases
Some features need a paid Guild subscription or purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Free trials or introductory prices, where offered, end as described at purchase and convert to the regular price unless cancelled.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
- You can restore purchases on a new device with the same Apple ID.
We may change features and prices. A price change for an existing subscription follows Apple's rules.
Ads
The free version shows ads from third parties. We do not control their content.
Ownership
Pitaka, including its art, characters, text and code, belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it on your Apple devices. Your data remains yours.
Third-party services
Pitaka relies on Apple (App Store, iCloud, iOS), RevenueCat, Google AdMob and a public exchange-rate service. Their terms apply to your use of them. We are not responsible for their availability.
Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no duty to provide support or maintenance for Pitaka, and is not responsible for claims about it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. If Pitaka fails to meet a warranty, you may tell Apple, which may refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty duty for the app.
Disclaimer
Pitaka is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise it will be error-free, uninterrupted or that your data will never be lost.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, lost data, lost profits, or financial decisions made using the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to a refund of one month of your Pitaka subscription fee. Because Apple processes all payments, any refund is requested through Apple under its policies. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
Ending use
You can stop using Pitaka at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or the law.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use Pitaka after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines, and disputes go to its courts, unless your local consumer law says otherwise.
